We believe that God has designed a ministry team specifically for this new day. In fact, only God could have coordinated a leadership staff so fitly joined together for His purpose (Ephesians 4:16). These men and women have such amazing and diverse portfolios of talents and experiences that are used for the collaborative purpose of impacting this church and this community. The sovereignty of God and the uniqueness of Pine Bluff First Assembly are evident in its dedicated and caring staff. We invite you to get to know us better by meeting this dynamic team of leaders individually.

Gary Bell Senior Pastor
A prototype of gregarious and personable charm, Senior Pastor Gary Bell is the consummate southern gentleman with an infectious smile and compassionate spirit; however, his focus changes when he begins to preach the Gospel. In that role, he is an intelligent and passionate orator with a contagious zeal and an incredible anointing to speak “all the words of this life" (Acts 5:20). His consuming commitment to speak truth into the lives of people is matched only by his work ethic and heart for hurting people.
Tim BiasMusic Associate Pastor
Pastor Tim Bias represents the best possible mix of quality formal training, natural musical gifting, beneficial experience, and amazing accomplishments. A gifted musician and vocalist whose resume reads like the introduction for a professional musician’s lifetime achievement award, Pastor Tim believes that music “is simply a divinely created vehicle to usher” worshipers “into God’s presence,” and he certainly encourages that kind of encounter with God. Not only does he possess all of the skills to lead worshipers to a new level of intimacy with God through music and anointed lyrics but also the humility to lead worshipers to focus on God – rather than a platform performance
Doug Walls, Youth Associate Pastor
Born and raised the son of an Assemblies of God minister, Pastor Doug is very proud and thankful for his spiritual heritage. Though he comes from a long line of ministers, he has never had a desire to “ride the coattails” of his family members. He knew he would have to hear from God for himself—and he did. At the age of fifteen, he felt God calling him to serve the body of Christ; however, he pursued many opportunities outside the church world before returning to his “calling.”
Tim Shurley Children's Pastor
It is a rare thing to find a young man who is so obviously suited to be a children’s pastor. Without doubt, Pastor Tim Shurley is the prototype of passion, energy, and creativity. Though he is very talented and capable in a wide range of fields (e.g., media, drama, music, etc.), he chooses to “give everything he has” and “leave it all out there” every time he ministers to kids, and nobody who has ever observed him or participated in his children’s services or chapels will argue that point. His high-octane ministry style engages and entertains kids, while clearly presenting the gospel message at their level of understanding.
Monte ColemanResident Evangelist
Monte Coleman is a consummate athletic competitor! He has “heart,” motivation, and ability! Though he played junior high football, his high school career consisted of only one game during his senior year. Despite his lack of high school experience, his love for the game of football motivated him to walk on at the University of Central Arkansas, where his brother was already playing for the Bears. In 1979 Monte actually became the first player in the history of UCA to be drafted by the National Football League (NFL).
